• 1 large bunch broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into ¼-inch strips
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • salt and pepper
  1. Steam broccoli florets for 5-6 minutes, until crisp-tender. DO NOT overcook!
  2. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet until lightly browned, then remove from skillet.
  3. Add vegetable oil to the skillet. When hot, sauté red pepper strips until crisp-tender, season with salt and pepper then remove from skillet.
  4. Add sesame oil to the skillet. When hot, add the broccoli and sesame seeds and stir fry just until heated through.
  5. Add soy sauce to the pan and toss until mixed with broccoli.
  6. Remove broccoli from the pan to a serving dish and top with red pepper strips.

SERVES 4-6

Notes: The red pepper strips, cooked separately, add a fresh, sweet flavor to the dish
